Welcome to Volume 2 Number 31 of this E-Newsletter. Grace, Mercy and Peace from our Risen Savior.
Continuing my thoughts concerning the importance of relationship when it comes to our faith development, I wonder how place fits into that? Is there a place that stands out to you, a place that shaped or formed you into the person you are today? For many it is High School or College, Grandparents house or a job. For me it was Summer Camp. I am sure that many of you know that already, but as I am preparing to spend a week at Lutherwood as the Pastor of the Week, I have been reflecting more on that sense of place.
Place ingrains on our sense of self in a way totally unique from anything else. I am sure if you remember a place like that in your life you can still recall the sights, the smells, the way the sun shines in the early morning. But more importantly it is a time and place where we remember who we are or we find a new aspect of who we are. That is the amazing thing about place it is a space where we get a further glimpse of who God created us to be.
For me camp was that place, it was away and removed from all the noise of life but also it was a place where I could be myself. It was a place in the out of doors where I learn about God's creation and how God created me. I am so very excited to be at Camp Lutherwood next week to help continue the continued work of the Holy Spirit in places that become so ingrained on who we are. For you where was that place? and how are we continuing to make spaces and places for all of us to be space, welcomed, loved especially for the next generation.

It is a beautiful service and something that cannot be related in words but needs to be experienced. If you are looking for a new worship opportunity you should check it out.
