Holy Trinity E-Newsletter V2 #37 9/14/16

Welcome to Volume 2 Number 37 of this E-Newsletter. Grace, Mercy and Peace from our Risen Savior.

All summer we have been bringing in toothbrushes, combs, soap, towels, and nail clippers for our Lutheran World Relief Healthcare Kits and this coming Sunday we have reached our goal of 30 kits and will be packaging them up and sending them off! For those that may not know about Lutheran World Relief they are a Lutheran Organization that allows Lutherans in the US to serve our neighbors abroad. They focus their work on issues of poverty, injustice and human suffering. They respond to natural disasters, war, strife, and refugees.

As an organization they do not evangelize but rather focus on service to other. In the past year they engaged in 126 projects in 36 countries and served over 4 million people. The health care kits that we have been compiling are going to places around the world where people have lost everything due to natural disaster, war or other strife. You would not believe how far a comb or bar of soap will take you when you have little to nothing to your name. The self confidence and self worth that comes with being able to brush your teeth is unmatched. So we are not just sending soap and nail clippers but we are sending an extraordinary gift that changes one's life situations greatly.

So be sure to join us on Sunday to compile our Kits, to bless them and send them off to those in need in Christs name.
