Welcome to Volume 2 Number 33 of this E-Newsletter. Grace, Mercy and Peace from our Risen Savior.
Over the past few days my facebook feed has slowly been filling up with friends from around the country getting ready to send their kids back to school. After being in Oregon for a bit it seems like it is a bit early but there is no denying that school/fall/duck+beaverfootball/ harvestfestivals/pumpkinspicedeverything is right around the corner. So now that Summer is winding down here in Portland what does our fall look like at Holy Trinity?
There are going to be a few new educational and worship opportunities around church. We are going to be getting back into our Wednesday night discussion group, we will be looking at a few things in the world of current events and what it means for our lives. Worship at Holy Trinity is going to be expanding to Sunday evening once a month. We will be having a meal together and joining together in worship.
As for volunteering and service work we are going to be once again partnering with Thrivant for some Habitat for Humanity builds. We are working on finishing up our Lutheran World Relief Health Care Kits and getting them packaged up. Finally, we are starting to work on bigger partnerships with our brothers and sisters at other congregations in the neighborhood.
Keep your eye out for more details.

We have been invited on the second Friday of every month to join for worship with the saints at Our Lady of Sorrows Church here in Woodstock. At 7pm on those Fridays they gather for a Taize Service. Taize is an ecumenical community in France that has developed a method of prayer that combines music, prayer and silence. It is a beautiful service and something that cannot be related in words but needs to be experienced. If you are looking for a new worship opportunity you should check it out.
Summer is here! So join Pastor Andrew on Wednesday to walk around the neighborhood. We will be meeting at 2:30 at the church and set off for a stroll around the neighborhood.
